VEHICLE BARRIERS
BEAR PAW
The BEAR Paw is a portable vehicle barrier system
made of Brinell 500 steel and can be set up and
taken down in less than five minutes by two people.
The BEAR Paw stops vehicles from breaching perimeters
and destroys tires, radiators, crank cases, transmissions,
tie-rods, and gas tanks. Vehicles are leveraged
off the ground, removing the ability of the tires
to achieve traction, thus preventing the vehicle
from further penetrating a secured area. The BEAR
Paw can be made as small as five inches and as
large as ten feet. The smaller versions can be
carried in a rucksack for field expedient vehicle
stops.

In the videos above, the Dodge Ram Charger was
loaded with an additional 500 lbs. of weight to
simulate explosives, and was traveling at 30 mph.
The Ford Thunderbird was traveling at 35 mph.
Both vehicles were completely disabled within
25 feet.
