Blackwater K-9 Training Services |
Blackwater K-9 is located on 7000 acres in Moyock, NC. On site kennels are available at our fully equipped K-9 training facility. Blackwater K-9 affords extensive environmental acclimation of the dogs in training that is directed toward real world situations. This is accomplished through the availability of varied styles of structures, ground compositions, terrain, excess of 100 training vehicles, and the constant close proximity of gunfire coming from multiple firearm ranges. Blackwater's State-of-the-art training facility exceeds U.S. Department of Defense and Department of State standards for training K-9 Teams. In addition, the facility maintains full licensing which includes: Importer of firearm and other than destructive devices (Class 8); Dealer In destructive devices (Class 9); User of high explosives (Class 33); Dealer in firearms other than destructive devices (Class 1); and Surface Danger Zone (SDZ) compliant.
In addition to our traditional K-9 training courses, Blackwater K-9 has the ability to custom tailor a course to suit your specific training needs. Our clients include local, state and federal law enforcement as well as several branches of the United States Military.
All members of the training staff are experienced law enforcement K-9 trainers and handlers certified by the North American Police Work Dog Association or the Virginia Police Work Dog Association.
Independent Contractor Trainers, all of which are current law enforcement K-9 handlers are utilized to bring relevant and current experience to the training operation.
