HOPE...

In the face of difficulty and much adversity... in the face of danger the person who

really wants life for others and wants to live themselves must  go.  This applies to

all people but it specifically applies to Peace Keepers.  Peace Keepers must go

whenever there is a threat to peace and safety.  Others may choose for themselves

but Peace Keepers have already chosen... They must go.

For parents it it is the same.  It does not matter how old your child is, you never

outgrow being a parent when your child is in danger.  My oldest daughter is in very

great need of compassion and treatment just to survive long enough to get back to

life and living... but the medical system is too overloaded and cumbersome to meet

the need.  People and facilities to handle the great problems are in short supply...

too few to do so very much that needs to be done.  Meanwhile she burns up all of my

time and energy just trying to maintain her until the right much needed assistance

can be obtained.  Today she is in a facility awaiting an admission someplace that

will take on the task of observation and adjustment for her.  Last weekend and

through Tuesday no beds were available.  Yesterday and today no beds are

available.  Each process expires at the end of 72 hours.  Then it must begin again

with added cost of doing the same procedure over and over until they are successful.

Today I am recovering for my own well being because the battle greatly diminished

my ability to cope and to live.  I am not taking calls...  I am not going out to duty... until

I am fully restored to my best operating condition.  Today this message is short and

simple.  I really considered not writing one at all... but you all are too precious to me

for me to not communicate if I am breathing and able to see and move.

This is not a new experience for me.  I have been through many medical and

emotional battles for the needs of my deceased wife and deceased son, just as I am

currently engaged on behalf of my eldest daughter.  My experience has been that the

ones who would help do not have the power to cause good results... and the ones

who could cause good results do not hear, listen and heed for many varied reasons...

restrictions caused by the overload on the system is just one of those reasons that

good results are so hard to obtain... rules and regulations are another... the hand of

government controls so many processes so very closely that getting the needed

response is made so difficult.  Getting through the system with good results takes

faith, hope, courage and determination.

For the Peace Keeper and for many parents these are facts of daily life.  What one

thing keeps all of us who face these dangers, odds and threats going?  HOPE...

It is defined as:

We go out to engage whatever threatens peace, safety and tranquility because of

hope.  Every effort that we expend has its roots in HOPE.

Thank you all for being there.  Thanks to all of the readers who responded with

supportive messages of encouragement, hope and prayer.  My Commander-In-Chief

and I do so very, very deeply appreciate you being there and all of your efforts on

behalf of all of the people who benefit from your efforts.

One important lesson that I learned in battles like the one in which I am currently

engaged... I must take care of me or I cannot gain the victory that I hope for.  If I am

dissipated or consumed in the process of the battle then I will not be around to

secure the victory or celebrate the gaining of it.  That is why I say this to you weekly...

"BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!"  Take the very best care of you while you are

engaged in the efforts for the peace and safety of others.  See to the welfare of the

spiritual part of you... for it must be strong so that you may endure the great demands

upon you and obtain the very best of victory.  Keep doing what you know to do and

leave the rest to whomever else is responsible, God or others... but do your best!

As it has always been... so it still is...

"VICTORIOUS WARRIORS WIN FIRST...

AND THEN GO TO WAR,

WHILE DEFEATED WARRIORS GO TO WAR FIRST...

AND THEN SEEK TO WIN."  Sun tzu

ONLY LIVE PEACE KEEPERS SEE THE VICTORY!!!

THEY SEE IT ONLY BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE MADE THEIR ETERNAL

PAYMENTS OF SWEAT, BLOOD, TEARS AND LIFE FOR THAT VICTORY!

WITH THE DEEPEST OF APPRECIATION AND RESPECT...

BE BLESSED (A CONDITION TO BE ENVIED)...

BE SUCCESSFUL... BE SAFE...

[My injunction to be safe means doing all you know to do as you do your job... it means

doing the best you can with what you have where you are using all your faculties to get

the job done well and with good results conquering evil and keeping or restoring peace...

it does not mean to avoid duty and honor... it does not mean to cower or allow anything

to hinder you in the process of duty according to rules, law and ethics...  it means that if

the demand takes your earthly life you destroy as much evil as possible in the process.

That is my definition of being safe... doing the best you can and leaving the rest to God

or whomever else is responsible... being best employed for the sake and protection of all

the things and people that we hold dear.]

I represent, write for... and give the credit to:

God the Father (my Commander-in-Chief),

Jesus Christ the Son (the Eternal Captain of my life) and

the Holy Spirit of God (my Eternal Teacher, Keeper and Guide).

In Christ I live... with Him and for you I serve...
