WEBSITE RESOURCE ON TERRORISM
- A Terrorism Knowledge Base now provides details
online for about 18,000 terrorist attacks worldwide over four decades,
indictments spanning 20 years, terrorist group profiles and tools to analyze
data.
The site, funded by $5 million in tax money, is the result of four years of
work by the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism, established
by Congress after the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma
City.
Participants in the site's creation were the RAND Corporation that provided
terrorist incident data going back to 1968; DFI International for terrorist
group profiles; and the Universities of Arkansas and Oklahoma for indictment
documents.

Minn. Trooper Writes 205 Mph Ticket
With a State Patrol airplane overhead, a motorcyclist hit the throttle and
possibly set the informal record for the fastest speeding ticket in Minnesota
history: 205 mph.
On Saturday afternoon, State Patrol pilot Al Loney was flying near Wabasha,
in southeastern Minnesota on the Wisconsin border, watching two motorcyclists
racing along U.S. Highway 61.

Spy imagery agency takes new role inside United States
after Sept. 11
In the name of homeland security, America's spy imagery agency is keeping a
close eye, close to home. It's watching America. Since the Sept. 11 attacks,
about 100 employees of a little-known branch of the Defense Department called
the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency -- and some of the country's most
sophisticated aerial imaging equipment -- have focused on observing what's

Lennon fans threaten his killer as release looms
Mark Chapman, the man who murdered John Lennon, could be released from jail
next month in a move that has sparked fears of retribution from Beatles fans.

Powell says Iraqi security
situation worsening
Secretary of State Colin Powell on Sunday said anti-American sentiment in the
Muslim world had increased and the insurgency in Iraq was worsening, but the
United States was taking action to improve security ahead of elections.

Benchmade: Folding & Fixed
I bought my first Benchmade Knife about ten years
ago when I was working in a beautiful garden spot community... about four
miles east of the Washington DC border. Suffice to say that when the sun set,
so did the "beautiful garden spot" description. On a daily basis I
was carrying their AFCK (Advanced Folding Combat Knife) tucked into my
waistband and I've had the pleasure of owning various Benchmade knives since
then. I recently received three T&E knives from them and those are the
items we'll be looking at this week.
